Nourished and Thriving Children

SPOON's Nourished and Thriving Children is a feeding and nutrition training program for use in the United States. Our goal is to improve the growth, health, and development of children who have experienced trauma, so they have the chance they deserve to be healthy and thrive.

This program is appropriate for three audiences:

Professionals

People who work with children–for instance, child welfare and medical professionals–can benefit from our remote training program Trauma-informed Feeding for Professionals. It is comprised of six self-paced online courses, each culminating with an interactive live session with our trainers. Learn more and join the waitlist below.

Trainers

Child welfare professionals can gain access to our nutrition and feeding toolkit and become trainers for their organizations through our online “training of trainers” program. To learn more about in-person workshops for new trainers or our online course for new trainers (in development), get in touch below.

Parents

Parents of children who have experienced trauma can take part in the Nourished & Thriving Children program in two ways: in-person trainings conducted by those trained in SPOON’s workshops or through an online course Oregon State University developed in conjunction with SPOON.
