Pamela Magero, MPH

Nutrition Technical Officer, Uganda Consultant

What I Do: As a Nutrition Technical Officer, I oversee the technical aspects of the quality improvement program and the nutrition project for children with disabilities in Uganda. Also, I review existing guidelines to find gaps in nutrition for these children and provide administrative support, including budget development.

Background: I am a Public Health Nutritionist committed to improving the lives of children with disabilities through better nutrition. With expertise in project planning and management, I combine scientific knowledge with compassion to support these children. As an advocate for inclusion, I collaborate with healthcare providers and policymakers to develop innovative nutritional programs empowering children to thrive and reach their full potential.

Why I SPOON: Through SPOON, I have gained insights into the unique feeding needs of children with disabilities and effective practices to support their health. During a recent training, a participant noted, "You have increased our awareness of disability and nutrition and changed our attitudes towards these children." This affirmation reinforced my belief that healthcare for these children can improve significantly. I advocate for SPOON because it brings joy and wellness to children and transforms lives through individualized care.
