Mishelle Rudzinski, MA, CCC-SLP
Co-Founder & Executive Director
With a background as a speech-language pathologist specializing in the communication and feeding of children with complex disabilities, Mishelle co-founded SPOON to bring nutrition and feeding solutions to children in low-resource settings. She assumed many roles as SPOON grew, including Program Director and Deputy Director, before becoming Executive Director in 2016. As SPOON’s Executive Director, Mishelle oversees SPOON’s top-notch team in the creation, execution, and evaluation of the organizational strategy. She serves as the face of SPOON in the community, engaging in fundraising and partnership development activities. She manages the Leadership Team and works closely with SPOON’s high performing Board of Directors. Above all, she maintains a culture that upholds SPOON’s values and ensures that all activities operate ethically and in line with SPOON’s mission to end malnutrition for children with disabilities and children living outside of family care. Outside of work, Mishelle enjoys spending time with her two young adult daughters. She also spends countless hours walking around her NW Portland neighborhood, hoping to wear her dogs out.
