Michael Koerner

Michael Koerner is a lifelong Portland resident, married to Cathy Koerner, and the father of four children.

Michael is the owner of Koerner Camera Systems, a motion picture camera rental company that has served the film industry in Portland and Washington for more than 30 years. The company provides equipment for commercials, documentaries, television and streaming productions, and feature films, and is known for its exceptional service and longstanding client relationships.

Michael is an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers. Productions supported by Koerner Camera Systems include Train Dreams, Wild, Leave No Trace, Green Room, Grimm, Portlandia, Shrill, and Trinkets. He also founded the biennial Pacific Northwest Lens Summit, an international industry event held in Portland, and launched the Virtual Lens Summit during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Michael's free time, he enjoys traveling, fishing, crabbing, and cycling.
