Orphan Nutrition Around the Globe
The role of early childhood nutrition in brain development is well understood - research shows that, without access to critical vitamins and minerals, development malfunctions. Until recently, however, little has been known about how the planet’s 160 million orphans are nourished – or not – and how to improve nutrition so that these children have the chance to grow and thrive that they deserve.
Through our Orphan Nutrition Program, we are fiercely devoted to developing long-term nutrition and feeding solutions that will address the true and actual needs of young orphaned children around the globe. As a small, grassroots organization, we forge partnerships with researchers, clinicians, NGOs and policy leaders in target countries to create systemic change that is culturally-sensitive and sustainable.
