Help SPOON Help Kids

SPOON is committed to building a world where all children get the nutrition and care they need to grow and thrive. Our work is made possible by the generous support of individuals, corporations, foundations and program partners.

There are many ways you can help SPOON:

Financial Gifts

Dollars donated to SPOON go towards programming and operations, allowing us to reach more children more quickly with interventions that are not just affordable and effective, but life changing. Every gift makes a difference!

Fundraise for SPOON

Raise money for SPOON with a custom fundraising page and share it with your friends and family through email and social media. All gifts will go where needed most. At the end of the campaign, you will receive a letter with the total amount of gifts raised, and the names of individuals who contributed.

Katie decided to celebrate her 7th birthday by fundraising for SPOON. Katie’s siblings were adopted from Russia, so she understood the need for children without families to receive proper nutrition. Katie’s mom reached out to SPOON and our team built a customized web page for her party. Now Katie and her mom want to encourage others to celebrate their next birthday or special occasion by helping other children in need.

Donate Stock

Making a gift in the form of securities or mutual funds lets you support SPOON’s work while realizing important benefits for yourself. Securities and mutual funds that have increased in value and have been held for more than one year can allow you to reduce or even eliminate federal capital gains taxes on the transfer. To make a stock donation, please contact Emily Brod, Director of Finance & Administration, by email or call (503) 954-2524.

Corporate Sponsorships

SPOON is building a growing list of corporate sponsors who share our commitment to the wellbeing of underserved children. Please contact Luisa Adrianzen Guyer, Director of Development & Communications, by email or 503-954-2524 to learn more about the marketing benefits available to our corporate partners.

Corporate Matching

Many employers offer matching gifts. Check with your benefits department to learn whether your company offers corporate matching. If they do, consider selecting SPOON as the beneficiary when you complete your organization’s matching gift form. We are currently receiving matching gifts from Nike, adidas, Google, Kaiser, University of Minnesota, Microsoft, Time Warner and John Hancock.
